Standard First Aid & CPR Level Basic Life Support (BLS) With AED Training for Health Care Providers
As of January 1st, 2019, Canadian Red Cross has discontinued CPR-HCP (Health Care Provider) and is offering BLS (Basic Life Support) as the replacement. This change was made to stay in line with the needs of our professional responders (Nurses/Paramedics/Fire Fighters). CPR Level BLS is equivalent to CPR-HCP.
Designed for in-facility care providers, including nursing staff, care aides, medical and dental professionals, pre-hospital, and care providers (which may include professionals in a fire service, rescue team, sports-medicine, lifeguards and ski patrol) to build participant confidence in performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills and provide the important steps to perform a rapid assessment, perform Basic Life Support (BLS) skills, and perform rapid defibrillation.
All Red Cross first aid certifications are recognized and valid across Canada.
